Rime of the Ancient Mariner Live in Paris
October 3rd, 2012
After a great run of Hamlet at the QEH London, the Tiger Lillies are off to Paris for Le Festival Temps d'Images, Oct 12/13 2012 where we will be presenting Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
Inspired by the epic poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, somewhere between film and baroque music hall concert, The Tiger Lillies and Mark Holthusen set sail and take you on a journey through the icy waters of Antarctica into the bowels of Hell and back again.

LE CENTQUATRE
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is a collaboration between the infamous London-based musical trio The Tiger Lillies and visual artist Mark Holthusen.
Throughout the performance, a multimedia stage production will immerse the audience in the world of Coleridge's surreal ballad, shifting from song to song, and creating a show that is somewhere between a movie and a concert. Multi-screen projected animation and video, along with other fancy stage tricks, will work in concert to create a virtual baroque stage production, and a unique musical experience that's as quirky and unexpected as the Tiger Lillies.
